Have you ever considered the time investment in some of the world’s greatest achievements?
It took 26 months to build the Eiffel Tower.
It took Da Vinci 4 years to paint the Mona Lisa.
It took Michelangelo 4 years to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
It took Leo Tolstoy over 6 years to write War and Peace.
It took around 30 years to build the Great Pyramid.
It took over 40 years before Beethoven’s Fur Elise was performed.
It took Noah 100 years to build the ark.
And we often get impatient if microwave popcorn takes too long!
The greatest achievements in your life took time. Time is something that can not be returned, can not be duplicated. When you loose time you are unable to gain it back. Why do we rush through the process of success? Often it is the variety of not being content, trying to recover from a place where you missed the opportunity of success, and most of all wanting the results without the work!
As I look at one of my favorite places to sit and have a wonderful cup of Chai Tea Latte and read an amazing book, I can't help but wonder, what was the recipe of Starbucks success? Time; they grew their business one cup of coffee at a time and this took time. How are you positioning yourself to ensure that every moment is captured, the investment is savored and the improvements are celebrated? You can only do this by slowing down, basking in the moment and receiving the moment you are in. Often I meet people and they have a warped concept of life and how it operates not understanding, appreciating and acknowledging their life is by the second before they are able to remember the day.
Do you complain about what you don't have? Do you live in your future of what is to be instead of working in the life that it is? Learn to lead yourself to a place of success by leading yourself in every single moment, making decisions in every moment that will impact your future to come. Living each moment intentionally, exclusively and collectively. Learn to live a life where you invest in the time your in and optimistic enough to lead yourself to say greater is ahead so I will #staytuned
